Specialty Coatings

We provide several solutions to facilities that require specialty coatings such as off shore oil rigs, marine bulkheads and marine cranes. We provide coatings for insulation purposes in high heat areas to produce a safe working environment for workers in danger of burn on piping. We provide services for intumescent fireproofing to achieve 2-hour fire ratings on steel structures. We have extensive experience in the Water Park and commercial pool industries. We have coatings and process to coat stainless steel in areas that are required for aesthetic reasons. We can work with any facility to develop a coating system that will succeed in their unique environment.

INTUIMESCENT FIREPROOFING

Are used in buildings as a passive fire resistance measure. They can be applied to structural members as an aesthetically pleasing fireproofing product. It provides a fire rating up to 2 hours while keeping an astatic look to the structure. When subjected to temperatures exceeding 120°C the paint will intumesce (swell up to 50 times the thickness of the paint) and form an carbon layer (Char) which, in the case of intumescent steel paint, thermally insulates the steel substrate and maintain a temperature below 550°C.

HIGH TEMP COATINGS

Coatings that are able to provide corrosion protection even under extreme heat. Industrial high temp coatings are widely used in process-based facilities such as refineries, petrochemical plants, pulp and paper mills and power plants.

INSULATION COATINGS

Is the reduction of heat transfer (i.e. the transfer of thermal energy between objects of differing temperature) between objects in thermal contact or in range of radiative influence. The insulating capability of a material is measured as the inverse of thermal conductivity. Industry standards define three types of coatings. They are metallic, organic and inorganic. Houston metal buildings are often made from galvanized steel, which is one type of corrosion-resistant coating. Polyester, polyurethane and plastisol are popular organic coatings.

OFFSHORE COATINGS

Offshore coatings are usually involved with oil and gas structures, typically floating production, storage and offloading vessels, or FPSO. The more conventional fixed platforms, are usually very complex assemblies of fabricated steelwork, metalwork, pressure vessels, structural members, tanks, pressure equipment, valves, pumps, screens and pipework.

BULKHEAD COATINGS

Coatings would be allied on these retaining walls/sea walls along a water front or Wall-like constructions inside a vessel, as for forming watertight compartments, subdividing space, or strengthening the structure.

MARINE CRANE PAINTING

Painting for these pedestal-mounted elevating and rotating lifting device used to transfer materials from marine vessels, barges and structures. For these applications we use marine epoxies and moisture cured systems to hold up to the salt-water environment as well as get the equipment back into service as fast as possible.

WATER PARKS

We apply coatings to all of the structural steel supports, fiberglass slides, lazy river walls and floors, pools and non-skid deck areas. Part of the process is the understanding that as well as a protective coating for your assets, we need to provide a coating that will protect your guest. Whether it is a non-skid deck or walkway, to the sides and floor of the river and pools where sharp or rough edges can create a safety hazard.

POOL COATINGS

We use a variety of applications in these cases. The coatings that we specify are friendly to the use in the pool as well as resistant to the UV rays and the chemicals used to treat the pools.

STAINLESS STEEL COATING

Are used because of their corrosion resistance in a wide variety of service environments, usually without additional coatings. ... Roughening of stainless steel surfaces prior to coating is essential and can usually be achieved by abrasive blasting, light hand abrasion or chemical etching. We have developed a system for stainless coating that we can provide a 5-year warranty.
